On Sunday 17 July 2011, Edgefield Primary School and the Punggol North Community had an enjoyable and memorable time together commemorating Punggol North's Racial and Religious Harmony Day and celebrating Edgefield Primary's 10th Anniversary with our Edgefield Dance Day @ Punggol

Together we have established a new Singapore Book of Records for the Largest Cha Cha Dance!

we have also successfully smashed the World's Largest Cha Cha Dance record!

" About 3,400 revellers attempted to dance their way into the record books yesterday at a street festival to celebrate racial and religious harmony in Punggol. The students and residents appear to have smashed the Guinness World Record for the largest number of cha-cha-cha dancers in one place. The record is currently held by 3,270 Polish dancers, who sashayed together three years ago. London-based Guinness will annouce in six weeks' time whether the Singaporeans succeeded. "

The couple, both 33, were at Edgefield Primary School, the dance's organiser, on Sunday afternoon to learn the steps since they were dancing the cha-cha for the first time, together with their two children, seven-year-old Dani Hazwan and eight-year-old Danish Haqiq. The couple, whose children are both studying at the school, said they were happy to participate since " Sunday is for spending with our children anyway. "
