ICTL

The ICTL Department serves to create an ICT-enriched school environment where ICT is used pervasively and effectively to develop independent and lifelong learners.

To realise this vision, all pupils are provided with opportunities to use ICT through the school's 6-Year Baseline ICT Skills Acquisition Programme.  ICT is also integrated into the curriculum resulting in lessons coming alive  as teachers engage pupils in learning via a plethora of platforms; Web 2.0 applications like Glogster and GoogleDocs, pupils appreciate life sciences through the use of equipment like Dataloggers, do audio recordings to reinforce their oral skills, collaborate online in synchronous platforms and more...

Harnessing ICT for Engaged Learning Facilitative Teaching (ELFT) - Live & Online!

Cafe @ the Edge

Café @ the Edge is a pupil-run “business” aimed at inculcating the spirit of innovation and enterprise in our upper primary pupils. Always innovating to keep the tills at the café ringing , the pupils re-opened the café with a new and exciting attraction – Nintendo Wii games! The Wii games (Big Brain Academy) and Wii Sports were introduced much to the delight of the Café patrons. This latest attraction adds breadth to the range of activities already available at the café which include the playing of educational PC games and board games. To sweeten the café experience even further, the concept of ‘snacks and drinks’ combo sets were offered thus giving all café customers better deals.

ICT Leaders' Training

In Edgefield Primary, we strongly believe in nurturing leadership qualities in our pupils. The annual ICT Leaders Training serves to equip all appointed leaders, two from each class, with the skills in assisting the teacher in setting up and managing class ICT equipment like laptops.  Our ICT leaders play an important part in ensuring the class ICT equipment is ready for lessons.
