Edgefield Dance Day

On Sunday 17 July 2011,
Edgefield Primary School and the Punggol North Community
had an enjoyable and memorable time together
commemorating Punggol North's Racial and Religious Harmony Day
and celebrating Edgefield Primary's 10th Anniversary with
our Edgefield Dance Day @ Punggol

Together we have established a new Singapore Book of Records for the Largest Cha Cha Dance!

 

 

we have also successfully smashed the World's Largest Cha Cha Dance record!

 



The CHERISH Award

The CHERISH (CHampioning Efforts Resulting in Improved School Health) Award was launched in August 2000 to give recognition to and encourage schools to establish comprehensive health promotion programmes for students and staff through the fostering of good physical, social and emotional health for optimal learning.
 
The CHERISH Award provides a framework for establishing comprehensive health promotion programmes in the school. Modelled after the recommendations of the WHO's Health Promoting School initiative, it uses a whole school approach towards health promotion.

POSB Everyday Champions for Sports Award 2010 (Organisation Category-2010)

The POSB Everyday Champions for Sports Award is a special award for the unsung heroes who have inspired others through sports.

Together with the Singapore Sports Council, POSB recognised EFPS efforts in striving to make a difference in the lives of others by championing Dancesports for active lifestyle.

 

"Making the right steps towards a more disciplined and gracious community through Dancesport.  No other school has taken Dancesport to greater heights than Edgefield Primary. Through its well-organised systems, Dancesport has touched lives and has become a platform for the school to nurture its pupils and the community for a more gracious Singapore."

Triathlon

The Edgefield Triathlon team comprising of 11 pupils P4 to P6 took part in the New Balance 6th Inter-Collegiate and Schools Aquathlon 2007. The event was held in East Coast Park on 21st April. Congratulations to Patrick Chew and Muhd Nurhafiz both from 5 Love for completing the gruelling race on their debut race! Also to Roy Lee from 6F for his commendable top 12 finish in the race. All the pupils received a finisher medal for their effort. Well done triathletes!
