Edgefield believes in continuously building the capacity of our staff. Edgefield Primary School's School Curriculum Innovation (SCI) on ELFT - Live & Online was one of the SCIs selected by MOE for the TLLM Ignite 2 journey.

                                               Active Participation in Meaningful Discussions

Our teachers form teams to embark on Action Research projects which vary from addressing issues to enhancing pupils' learning engagement and experiences in reading, writing,  Mathematics, health & fitness. Teachers share the process of their project and their experimental analysis during Staff Contact Time. 

In addition, our staff meet weekly in their respective levels to discuss about our pupils' learning and plan lessons collectively. 

Overseas Study Trips For Teachers

Study Trips for Teachers and Pupils

Our School regularly sends our teachers and pupils oversees to expose them to the learning culture of other nations, such as China and Taiwan. The teams have the opportunities to learn about the different approaches to education and new teaching methodologies as well as to network with these overseas schools. 

Some of our staff also attended international workshops and conferences to update themselves with the latest education trend and pedagogy to benefit our School's pupils.

Being a certified People Developer School (Spring Singapore), our school has a total approach to staff training. Our School's vision and mission are translated to departmental workplans and programmes. Relevant training and learning programmes are planned by the beginning of the year and progress tracked throughout the year.

Our Staff Welfare Committee is made up of dedicated staff who plans a holistic staff well-being programmes for our staff through the year, including enriching and interesting workshops and enrichment talks for the Staff.

Congratulations to Edgefield Primary School for attaining the People Developer ( Singapore) Award in 2007. The PDA serves to recognize the school’s considerable efforts in establishing a system for people development in the organization. The school has put in place commendable people practices which include the structured career development plan for all staff, use of technology for streamlining PD process and consciously striving for continuous improvement.  Well done Edgefield Primary!
