Mother Tongue Language Fortnight & Cultural Camp
The Mother Tongue Language Fortnight and Cultural Camp aims to create an immersive environment for learning and encouraging students to use and experience Mother Tongue language in a fun and engaging way. Students explored and experienced their cultural heritage through various activities to foster a deeper understanding of their identity.
P1 Theme : Fables and Legends
Students having fun learning MTL through drama!
P2 Theme : Food Delight
Students use MTL to role-play as seller-buyer in an authentic setting such as the market place.
P3 Theme : Traditional Games
Students had fun playing Kabbadi in the school hall.
P4 Theme: Festival and Celebrations
Students learn about songkok – one of the traditional headwear in Malay culture.
P5 Theme: Cultural Performing Arts
Learning values through epic adventures such as ‘Journey to the West’.
P6 Theme: Literature and the Arts
From learning the story ‘Three Kingdoms - Crossing the Pass and Slaying Generals’ to playing Chinese chess – students apply strategic, critical and adaptive thinking to real-life situation.
